The Purrpurr of the Hloom
Poetry by Anastasia Kim
The Purrpurr of the Hloom
‘Twas purrpurr
And the starlit hloom
So floft and shoosh
Descended on the wheild
All agibberish were the yonderloves
And the pooms verily did quaid
Do not fear the Wolfenfolk
Their teeth are large but they don’t bite
Fear not the gnarling Grand Grenuute
Nor shun the slathy Saladrite
For when you hide within your bed
The roiling purrpurr underneath
Doth glooosh & fway within the gloom
And a klinging paw reaches forth
Heralding your certain doom
Be not afraid…
Those monsters fear you more than words can say
Your mind draws castles, roads and grants the way
Real monsters walk the street with smiles by day
In a world where words make sense
In a world where virtue is pretense
In a world where you have no choice but to obey
But for now…
‘Twas purrpurr
And the starlit hloom
So floft and shoosh
Descended on the wheild
All agibberish were the yonderloves
And the pooms verily did quaid
